We are delighted to announce that household name and BBC journalist, John Humphrys, will be taking centre stage as guest speaker at this year’s NALS ANNUAL DINNER on the evening of October 3rd in association with SAFEagent.

The Gala Dinner will be hosted at the The Guoman Hotel, Tower Bridge, London, and followed by the NALS Conference on October 4th, which is already promising an exciting line up of speakers.
John Humphrys is best known as the presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and one of the most recognisable voices on radio.
He also presents Radio 4’s ‘On the Ropes’ and BBC’s long running quiz show Mastermind. He has developed an enviable reputation as the journalist that politicians ‘fear to face’, and although his style has occasionally been controversial, it also earned him the Journalist of the Year Award in 2000.
Dinner tickets are expected to sell out very quickly and will be £175 + VAT or a Table of 10 for £1600 + VAT.
The NALS Conference is a must-attend event for property professionals in the private rented sector and will focus on key industry issues with its theme this year “Empowering the PRS to be bigger, faster, smarter and safer”.
Caroline Pickering, Chair of NALS, said: “We are delighted that John will be speaking at this year’s Dinner. He is relevant, topical and well informed around the issues that affect our industry. Not least, with an illustrious career spanning almost 50 years, we are looking forward to hearing John’s stories about his work and about the people he has interviewed. This is a not-to-be-missed event and we look forward to turning the tables and putting some questions to him too.”

NALS is an independent licensing scheme for letting and management agents. It was set up in 2001 with the remit to raise standards in the private letting sector and to help protect the interests of tenants and landlords.
NALS plays a vital role in the industry, leading by example and ensuring good governance. NALS agents must therefore be compliant in three core areas:
- meet defined standards of customer service
- be part of a Client Money Protection Scheme
- have a customer complaints procedure in place offering complainants independent redress.
