Do you know what to expect from a lettings and management firm in terms of customer service?
- Is your agent part of a Client Money Protection Scheme?
- Has your firm provided you with a written statement setting out details of the services they provide and their charges?
- Does the firm you are dealing with have a procedure in place for resolving complaints that includes independent redress?
If the answer to all of the above is "No" then you should be using a firm which is licensed by NALS and which agrees to meet defined standards of customer service.
